Confessions of a DIY Manicure Virgin

If everyone knew about the secret of having a Forever Flawless Manicure Kit, nail salons will be out of business. I am amazed by the results, but more importantly, for a "virgin" like me, this kit is a dream come true. A 20 min moment of luxury in my normal, ordinary life - it was quite fun learning how to give myself a manicure.

All the instructions you need are written on the box, so there is no way you'll lose any leaflets. I was trying to figure out where the 3 in 1 Nail Trimmer is, when I finally realized that they were describing the tool with 2 ends, 1 fork like end and the other with a white rounded end.

I tried the forked end, and to my great surprise, the dead skin came right off! I think I got a little over zealous during this bit, because a lot of dead skin was on my table when I was done. I wonder if I am a tad bit lighter now!

This is probably the most amazing nail file ever. With embedded diamond dust, it swipes off a part of your nail at first try. Filing your nails is never easier! 

I tried it on one finger first, and the result was really lovely. I didn't have to hunt for a nail clipper at all, and it was quite fun to do the filing of my nails with this!

Can you tell which nail has been manicured? Complete with buffing?

After that first nail, I felt like I was on a roll! I started doing my other nails as well, in the exact same fashion. Remove dead skin, push back cuticles, ( ok, I cheated a bit, I quite like my cuticles, so I pushed just a little! ) file nails to a shape I like before finally using the buffer block below.

If you think this is the end, think again! There are 2 more steps, putting on of the cuticle oil before the massaging of the hand cream.

I was expecting to see a normal bottle of oil with a brush, but was pleasantly wowed by the roll on that this bottle housed instead. Rolling the oil on was easy, and I didn't waste a drop! Massaging the oil into the cuticles took a good 2 mins, for the oil to be fully absorbed. My cuticles felt really soft to the touch. As a balloon sculptor, the powder on the balloons make our hands really dry, and the cuticles are usually very rough as well, due to the drying effect of the powdered balloons. This oil made my finger tips and cuticles feel so soft, it seems really magical to me. I wonder how often can we do manicures - I can't wait for my nails to grow out again so I can repeat the whole process.

After applying the oil on the cuticles, I finished the whole DIY Manicure with the hand cream included, and now, my hands feel so soft, I feel like a lady.

What a touch of luxury in the comfort of my own home! I love the shiny nails after buffing, and I heard that it should be able to last for weeks.
