SEA Aquarium at Resorts World Sentosa

Went to check out SEA Aquarium at Resorts World Sentosa and was pleasantly surprised. Though it reminded me of Underwater World ( I like Underwater world better, as it felt friendlier with staff who are better informed and more proactive and it has exhibits which look more impressive in a more natural setting ), it has the largest viewing panel in the world and it redeemed itself there.

Price wise, SEA Aquarium and Underwater World are comparable, depending on which credit card you happened to have brought along, as different cards had different discounts. Both have little online information about the various discounts. It is about $25 per person if you have a NTUC card.

Having said that, walking into SEA Aquarium was quite the experience. For the non english or mandarin speaking tourists, the whole exhibition about the silk route is kind of wasted, as they had no idea why they were made to walk through the entire exhibition with all the fake people, fake crates, etc and why were there not a single fish in sight after a 15 - 20min walk on the first level. There was a blatant lack of signs as well, so after walking into the gift store set at the bottom of the escalator, we walked for quite a bit ( 15 mins again! ) before managing to talk to one of their elusive staff and finding the entrance to the oceanarium.

On the day I went in, their conveyer belt for people was switched off or not working, there were hordes of people there and it was near to impossible to get a nice shot of the sea creatures without someone bumping into you or posing for their own photos as well.
Having said that, the aquarium itself is quite the visual feast. I couldn't find all the sea creatures as advertised as they are not fully ready yet, but I managed to snap quite a lot of photos for your viewing pleasure! I've also included a video so you can somewhat experience the spectacle.

Would I go back to SEA Aquarium? Perhaps I would, after their collection of sea creatures are complete, and perhaps on a Monday or a Tuesday. However, I would definitely go back to Ocean by Cat Cora, the restaurant features the entire viewing panel and you don't have to pay for entry into SEA Aquarium.  Click for the review of OCEAN by Cat Cora.

I care alot about air quality, because since I was a child, I've had difficulty breathing especially in the mornings. I would wake with Sinus and after I got my ioniser, things changed. I stopped having Sinus in the mornings! I've since added a PSI indicator to my blog after the national concern, HAZE that peaked on the 21st June 2013. I now realise how good the air quality in Singapore is, after the horrific comparison when haze from Indonesia descended upon us in Singapore.
