Free Scalp Treatment

In Singapore, companies are always thinking of new ways to get more customers.

This has to be one of the most cost effective and viral methods, and it is just so unbelievable that I had to try it out.

I signed up via the weblink,
http://ohs.pgtb.me/d0gcDV and was pleasantly surprised to receive a call in about a day or two - fixing an appointment was easy, I was able to get the time and the date I wanted on the first try.

Heading down to their outlet at Takashimaya, I was initially a little apprehensive, as I was expected some kind of pressure sales since the treatment is offered FREE.

The outlet I chose was at Takashimaya Tower B, and it was slightly difficult to locate. However, we soon found the shop after calling to find out exactly where it is. It was decorated in a clinic yet tai tai manner, with lovely light fixtures and bright white light. The colour theme was also white, and it gave the impression of a clinic with a touch of luxury.

She planned the treatment and got me to the treatment room that easily sits about 30 clients at any one time. The chairs were wide and comfortable, and I was given a choice of coffee or tea with a biscuit on the side.
The receptionist allocated a consultant to me rather quickly, and I was told to fill a form up. was pretty comprehensive and it asked about allergies, diet, etc.

My friend and I were then ushered to different rooms where a hair and scalp scan was done.

My consultant was really professional and Amanda ( Outlet Manager ) spoke Mandarin at first but switched to English when she realised I was more comfortable with English.

Amanda explained the different magnified scalp scans I was looking at, and she quickly identified that my scalp was sensitive, hair follicles slightly blocked but otherwise pretty healthy. Two to three strands of hair was growing out of each follicle and she pronounced that as healthy. However, she said that I have a lot of white hair and she can see that I have little pigment at the root.
After I sat down, a spray was used on dry hair. When asked, my therapist was unable to tell me what it was for and why is she putting it on my hair.
Her answer for every portion of the treatment was, "Your consultant planned it". It would be useful to know what each step was for.
I LOVE this portion! Getting my hair washed and scalp massaged is simply wonderful!
Am looking really relaxed after the shampoo and conditioning of my hair.
Here they are brushing on some kind of scalp mask, before massaging it into my pores.
Another scalp massage, I can feel the blood circulating near my scalp area!
After the scalp massage, my head was wrapped in a towel and they attached some kind of oxygen therapy machine to my head.
I feel like predator! They set the timer for 30mins and left me taking as many selfies as I could.
When she came back, she applied something else to my scalp before bringing me to the wash basin.
I really wish I knew what all the nice smelling potions were for! Spray-Wash-Mask-Oxygen-Spray-Wash-Blow (7 step therapy)
Getting my hair washed again, this time without the massage, but the conditional smells nicer!
After blowing dry my waist length hair, I was ushered back to the consultation room.
After the entire treatment ( Find out more about each treatment by putting your mouse over the photo ), I was brought back into the consultation room. Here, I expected a hard sell or at least some pressure to buy shampoo.

PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!

No hard sell, no pressure to do anything. My consultant asked if I liked the treatment - I didn't say yes or no just in case she uses that as an opener - she continued to do another hair scan and a explanation of how the scalp looks a lot cleaner, and the increase in skin flakes on my scalp is because they have just done a deep cleanse with their lotions, and had scrubbed my scalp really well. I looked at the screen and indeed, my scalp looks healthier and the the blocked pores were now unclogged!

This is the second hair treatment place I have tried, and the difference is tremendous. My hair feels softer, my scalp cleaner and I smell good too. The consultant told me about the special deal if I signed up on the spot, but put no pressure on me to sign up. I thought it was a very lovely experience indeed, and was a little sad I had to rush off without a proper chat with the consultant about the different lotions, tonics and shampoo.

I will probably go back to them if I were to develop any scalp problems, they were the more professional firm so far ( Comparing with one other chain with an outlet at Wheelock Place ).

I care alot about air quality, because since I was a child, I've had difficulty breathing especially in the mornings. I would wake with Sinus and after I got my ioniser, things changed. I stopped having Sinus in the mornings! I've since added a PSI indicator to my blog after the national concern, HAZE that peaked on the 21st June 2013. I now realise how good the air quality in Singapore is, after the horrific comparison when haze from Indonesia descended upon us in Singapore.
