Lose Calories and Weight! Does it work?
I guess this question is on our minds as the main reason why we would buy an Ogawa Eztone is to keep fit or lose weight. In my instance, I decided to find out if it could really help me lose weight. The newest ez-Tone comes with a digital screen that shows you exactly how many calouries you are burning, and for how long you have been on the machine. However, as I was just curious and wanting to test it out, I got one from my friend who already reached her target weight.
She raved about the machine, but I was skeptical. I wanted to try it for myself, having gained nearly 10kg in just 6 months of binge eating at buffets.

OGAWA ez-Tone High Performance Oscillator OE 0960 Unboxed, it comes with a comprehensive instruction manual together with exercises you can do on the Ogawa ex-Tone. A DVD is also given, so you can watch the exercises step by step. I was ready to find out if I could really lose weight on this "vibrating plate", which I had used in some of the gyms I used to go to. The trainers at the gym had told me that the vibrating plate will enhance my fitness level, and would amplify the effects of whatever exercise I chose to do on the plate. Webmd supports what my trainers said too! |
Weight Loss with Ogawa Ez-Tone Daily Notes
Day One 22nd May 2017
The weigh in was shocking. 75.3kg? This is probably the heaviest I have ever been, as previously, my weight fluctuated at the 62kg - a maximum of 65kg. Determined to lose weight, I stood on the Ogawa ez-tone for 10 mins, before I started to perspire like crazy. I thought it is probably due to the fact that I haven't done any exercise for a year, and my body must be reacting to the sudden stimulation. In fact, I got off when the dot was on the half way point. This older version has 4 dots on the machine to show you how long more you must stand on it. I got off when two more lights were blinking. It was honestly, really boring. That was only 5mins, though I set the program for 10mins.
Day Two 23rd May 2017
Weighed myself today, was a little depressed to see 75.5kg. I'm heavier today? That's strange, I perspired so much yesterday after 5 mins! Today, I tried to read a book while I was standing on the machine so it would be less boring. Quickly realising that it is near impossible, I bent my knees and found out that I could actually read if I remained in that strange position of back straight, knees bent. My upper body didn't vibrate! Today, I managed a full 10 mins as I was distracted by my book. Much better! I didn't perspire as much, but when I got off the machine, I experienced a strange muscle ache in both my calves. Blood was circulating and strangely, I went to the toilet after drinking a full glass of water. Food intake was normal, with no changes in my eating pattern of breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper.
Day Three 24th May 2017
I discovered that watching TV was even better for distraction! I finished 10mins without realising it was already 10mins.I decided to stop weighing myself daily, and just wait for the end of the week. Decided to cut down on my food intake and skip supper.
Day Four 25th May 2017
Watched a movie and managed 2 sets of 10mins without getting bored. Realised that music helps and decided to vary my workout by making big circles with my arms, alternating between standing on the "running' zone of the Ogawa ez-Tone and doing squats. I did 10 squats and felt really proud of myself!
Day Five 26th May 2017
Watched the MTV channel and started moving more, swinging my arms and pretending that I was running. Big circles were made with my arms and I started twisting my body from side to side. All this to make the work out more fun. I managed 3 sets of 10mins and did some stretching as well. I don't get muscle ache anymore, and quite enjoy the warm buzz that I get after the workout. In between the 10min sets, I did some work too! At 6pm I checked into a hotel for the staycation, and while changing into my swimming costume so I could use the steam room and sauna, I saw my reflection. Astounding! Tummy looks smaller, and I actually developed some lines on my sides. The flabby love handles seem to be reduced.
Day Six 27th May 2017
My friend was fasting, so I had food at 4am before going back to sleep. Chicken nuggets and fries. For the whole day, I had 3 beers and no food. At 730pm, I had a lovely Italian 3 course meal. Got home at 10pm and went on the ez-Tone for 2 sets of 10mins.
Day Seven 28th May 2017
I weighed myself today in the evening, after going on the Ogawa ez-Tone for 2 sets of 10mins while waving my arms like a mad woman, with big circles, yoga poses as well as jogging arm movements. Did some body twists for good luck. I'm hoping to see some kind of weight loss, and lo and behold! Yay! 72.3Kg.
Now I am thinking of getting the new Ogawa ez-Tone, as there are real results from using the machine for light exercise! Heard that the new Ogawa ez-Tone is even better!

Youtube Videos of Demo Exercises
I started to google and realised that there are more fun ways to use the Ogawa ez-Tone! Put all of them here for easy recall! Also, fitness gurus have been advocating the use of vibration plates for years, even though the brand is different, the vibration plates work in similar ways.

Verdict
It works! Also, cutting down on supper made a huge difference too. I fell asleep really easily after the light exercise on the Ogawa ez-Tone and did some slight lifestyle changes - slept earlier and woke up earlier too. If you want to find out more about the machine I used, check it out here:

What I liked most about it is that it made me start some kind of physical activity again - starting and sticking to it is immenselve difficult. I will be continuing on this for another week, so do check back to see if I had just lost weight temporarily or if it is more or less permanant!
Good luck in your own healthy living journey if you are embarking on one!
